Ingredients Required:

1. One and half cups soya nuggets you can also use nutrela
2. Two onion, chopped
3. Three tomatoes, chopped
4. One cup peas
5. One green chili, chopped
6. Four tblsp oil
7. A pinch of asafoetida
8. One tsp cumin seeds
9. Two tsp ginger – garlic paste
10. Two tsp coriander powder
11. Half tsp red chilli powder
12. One – fourth tsp turmeric powder
13. Half tsp garam masala
14. Salt according to taste

Instructions:

1. Soak soya chunk in 5 cup of water.
2. Add little salt to water and boil it for 4-5 minutes.
3. Remove from heat drain and run the boiled soya chunk under cold water.
4. Squeeze out all the water and keep aside.
5. Take a pan heat 2 tblsp oil in it, shallow fry nuggets and keep aside.
6. Heat the remaining oil and add asafoetida and cumin seeds.
7. When seeds begin to crackle add ginger – garlic paste and green chili, sauté for a minute.
8. Add chopped onion cook until become golden brown.
9. Add chopped tomatoes and one cup water mix well and cover it with lid for 2 minutes.
10. Add spices except garam masala , mix well and again cover and cook for 4-5 minutes, Keep stirring occasionally.
11. Remove gravy from heat and blend it into a thick paste.
12. Again put it into pan and add water according to the consistency required, let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
13. Add peas, shallow fry soya nuggets and garam masala mix well and cook with covering for 5 minutes till peas are done.
14. Remove and serve with hot chapatis.
