Chilli Paneer Recipe

Chilli Paneer is a indo – Chinese tasty and nutritious recipe. You can have it as a starter or a side dish with your meal.



Chilli Paneer

Preparation time: 10 min.
Cook time: 30 min.
Total time: 40 min.


Ingredients Required:

1. Hundred grams paneer
2. Oil for deep frying


For The Batter:


1. One - fourth cup corn flour
2. One - fourth cup maida
3. One tsp soya sauce
4. Pinch of baking powder
5. Salt as required


Other Ingredients:


1. One tsp grated ginger
2. Two tsp garlic chopped
3. Two tsp chopped celery
4. One - fourth cup chopped spring onions
5. Two - three green chillies chopped
6. One - fourth cup capsicum
7. One tsp soya sauce
8. One tsp sugar
9. One tblsp cornflour mixed with three tblsp water
10.  One tsp oil
11. Salt according to taste


For Garnish:


1. Half cup spring onion greens, chopped

Instructions:

1. Combine all the ingredients written under batter; make a smooth batter by adding ¼ cup of batter.
2. Coat the paneer in a batter and keep it aside for 30 min.
3. Deep fry the coated paneer till it become golden brown. 
4. Drain or absorbent paper and keep aside.
5. Heat two tblsp oil in a pan add ginger, garlic, celery, spring onions and green chillies and sauté it on high flame for 2 - 3 min.
6. Add capsicum and sauté  it for few more seconds let capsicum crispy.
7. Add soya sauce, sugar, cornflour paste and salt and allow it boil.
8. Add fried paneer in it and toss well.
9. Serve by garnishing with spring onion greens.
