Cinnamon Coffee Cake – Kaffee Kuchen Recipe

Cinnamon Coffee Cake – Kaffee Kuchen is a German cake, simply crumbs and topped. It is known as kaffee kuchen because German often enjoy in mid to late afternoon with coffee, hence the name become kaffee kuchen. “Kaffe” means “coffee” and “Kuchen” means “cake”. Preparation time: 10 min.
Cook time: 30 min.
Total time: 40 min.

Ingredients Required:

1. Two cups flour
2. Half cup butter, unsalted
3. Two tsp sugar
4. One tblsp cinnamon
5. One fourth cup nuts
6. One tsp baking soda
7. One tsp baking powder
8. One cup milk, mixed with                                                                                                                     9. Two tsp vinegar, to sour
10.One egg

Instructions:

1. Mix flour, butter and sugar until crumbly, mix cinnamon and nuts in half of mixture and reserve it for toppings.
2. Add baking soda and baking powder to rest of the mixture and stir it and mix well.
3. Add vinegar to milk to sour milk, put egg into the milk stir vigorously to blend the egg. 
4. Add the dry mixture into milk and blend it properly.
5. Grease the pan with butter and pour mixture into pan and top with reserve toppings.
6. Bake at 350 degree until toothpick inserted comes out clean, about 30 min.
