Ingredients Required:
1. One cup all- purpose flour
2. Half tsp coarse salt
3. One cup unsalted butter
4. Three – fourth cup brown sugar
5. One large egg yolk
6. Two – third cup finely chopped toasted pecans
7. Pecan halves, for decorating
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degree F. Line with baking sheet and parchment paper.
2. In a skillet on medium heat toast the pecans with 2 tblsp butter, cooking for about 5 min.
3. Sprinkle little bit of white sugar over the top.
4. Cream Half cup of the butter with brown and white sugar. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
5. Mix in the flour, baking soda and salt, stir in pecan mixture.
6. Drop tablespoonful of dough onto prepared baking sheets.
7. Bake at 375 degree F for 10-12 min until golden brown.
