Delicious Aloo - Gobi Sabzi Recipe

How to make Aloo Gobi simply means potato-cauliflower, a combination of two beloved vegetables cooked together with some simple spices.

Preparation time: 10 min.
Cook time: 50 min.
Total time: 1 hour.

Ingredients Required:

1. One cauliflower, florets removed and washed
2. Three medium sized potatoes, chopped and sliced
3. One and half inch ginger chopped
4. Half tsp turmeric
5. Half or One – fourth tsp red chili powder
6. One – fourth tsp garam masala powder
7. A pinch of asafoetida 
8. A few coriander leaves
9. Two tblsp oil and ghee
10. Salt as required

Instructions:

1. In a skillet heat oil, add potatoes to the oil and sauté it for 8-9 minutes on low flame.
2. Add cauliflower and sauté it for 8-9 minutes on low flame.
3. Add spice to it add red chili powder, salt and turmeric powder.
4. Sauté it for a minute. Then add the ginger.
5. Mix everything well. Sauté the entire sabzi for 10-12 minutes more. Keep on stirring in between.
6. Now cover the skillet with lid and let aloo gobi cook in steam for some 14-15 minute on low flame. Don’t add any water. Also keep on checking sabzi in between. Once it done add garam masala and mix it with entire sabzi. 
7. Garnish it with coriander leaves. 

Your Indian Recipe Aloo Gobi is ready to serve with roti, parathas and a bowl of yoghurt.
