Amritsari Murgh Makhani dish hailing from the Amritsar state of Punjab; cooked in butter (makhan) and savoured with the goodness of all spices.

Ingredients Required:
1. Bonless Chicken piece 500gm.
2. Two tsp ginger paste
3. Two tsp garlic paste
4. Three tsp sour curd
5. One tbsp lemon juice
6. Two tsp vinegar
7. One tsp coriander powder
8. One tsp cumin powder
9. Half onion chopped
10. Red chili powder 11/2 tsp
11. Salt to taste
1. Six tomatoes
2. Butter 11/2 tblsp
3. One tsp red chili powder
4. One tsp ginger finely chopped
5. One – fourth tsp orange color
6. Fresh cream – 21/2 tblsp
7. One tsp coriander powder
8. One tsp sugar
9. Salt to taste
For Garnishing:
1. Two green chilies chopped
2. One tblsp butter
3. Two tblsp fresh cream
4. Fresh coriander leaves
Instructions:
1. Blend tomatoes make puree, mix all the ingredients for marinating to make a paste.
2. Coat the chicken piece with marinating paste keep it aside for 2 hours.
3. Heat butter in a skillet and add marinated chicken to it, cook till the chicken tender.
4. In a saucepan, melt butter add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and ginger, salt and chopped green chilies. Fry for some time.
5. Add tomato puree, orange colour and fresh cream cook till it become thick.
6. Add the puree tender chicken along with sugar and cream.
7. Let it simmer for about 25 min.
8. Garnish with fresh cream, finely chopped green chilies and coriander leaves.
