Italian Anisette cookies Recipe

Anisette cookies are one of those very traditional Italian cookie recipes. This cookies gets it's flavouring from the anise extract and goes awesome with Icing. Here is an quick recipe of Anisette Cookies.

Preparation time: 40 mins.
Cook time: 30 mins.
Total time: 1 hour 10 mins.

Ingredients Required:

1. Four cup all – purpose floor
2. One cup white sugar
3. Half cup milk
4. Two eggs
5. One tblsp baking powder
6. Three – fourth cup vegetable oil
7. One tblsp anise extract
8. One tsp anise extract
9. One cup confectioners’ sugar
10. Two tblsp hot water

Instruction:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degree F
2. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder and white sugar. Now add oil, milk, one tblsp anise extracts and eggs in it and mix well. 
3. Mix well until the dough is sticky.
4. Oil fingers and pinch off one inch dough and make a ball and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet, 1 inch apart, flatten top slightly.
5. Bake for 8 minutes. Dip cookies in Icing while warm.

To make Icing:

1. Blend in one tsp anise extract and enough hot water to one cup confectioners’ sugar to form a smooth icing.
